Family house in Saint Prix — bedroom in warm understated minimalism
Residential

This project involves the demolition and reconstruction of a private villa near Paris. The new architecture is defined by a pure triangular volume: an iconic, almost archetypal house silhouette, drawing inspiration from contemporary Portuguese architecture, where simple forms and monolithic geometries create a strong presence in the landscape.

The openings and the overall volume are carefully choreographed to create interconnected spaces and a fluid sense of movement throughout the house. This spatial clarity allows for continuous visual connections: from any point inside the villa or within the garden, one can perceive the full scope and coherence of the project as a whole.

Inside, the atmosphere embraces a warm, understated minimalism influenced by Belgian interior design traditions. Muted tones, natural textures, and soft light shape a serene environment, while large glazed surfaces dissolve the boundary between architecture and landscape.

The result is a residence that balances sculptural purity with gentle minimalism, a refined, timeless retreat just outside Paris, where simplicity becomes a form of luxury and the entire project can be experienced as a seamless, unified composition.
